Making good use of our greatest resource
Ocean ECO is a multi-disciplinary, multi-lingual advisory and training group working at the interface of ocean protection, policy, and the sustainable blue economy.
Our work is guided by a core commitment to Ocean Knowledge for All — making high-quality, science-based ocean knowledge accessible and usable for informed decision-making across society.
Ocean ECO focuses on the links between the ocean, environmental sustainability, socio-economic resilience, and responsible blue economy development. We support evidence-based policy-making and implementation by working with governments at national, regional, and local levels, as well as international institutions, development banks, NGOs, and private-sector actors engaged in the blue economy.

Ocean Knowledge for All
Alongside our advisory work, we provide free Ocean Knowledge activities for the wider public, fostering a shared understanding of ocean challenges and solutions beyond expert and institutional circles.
To address the complexity of blue economy initiatives, Ocean ECO acts as a one-stop shop, bringing together expertise from science, engineering, policy, governance, and capacity building. This integrated approach reduces fragmentation, strengthens coordination, and helps translate knowledge into coherent, practical, and impactful action.
