About Us
Making good use of our greatest resource
Ocean Eco is a young, multi-disciplinary, multi-lingual advisory group on ocean-related issues and sustainable blue economy topics.
Focus of Ocean Eco activities lies on areas that touch on the ocean in relation to environmental aspects, community and social aspects as well as opportunities, livelihoods and sustainable business practices in the blue economy field.
Ocean Eco targets governments on national, regional and community levels, supranational bodies like UN organizations, EU, Development Banks, NGO and NPO as well as corporate clients with a stake in the blue economy.
One of the main challenges in blue economy projects is the fragmentation of involved research organisations and operative experts. Ocean Eco provides a one-stop-shop for client projects, by providing researchers and consultants from different fields (for example integrating biology, engineering, policy making and capacity building), reducing friction losses and enhancing communication.
